SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — About 200 attended a vigil Wednesday night for longtime South Lake Tahoe resident Rev. John Grace at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Grace spent about 70 years on Lake Tahoe’s South Shore and was remembered by friends and constituents through photos located throughout the church and stories told by those who knew him well.

Grace died Saturday, May 4, following complications from a fall. He was 98.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Theresa, 1041 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe.
