Ice arena to host curling clinic

The South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena is hosting a Curling Clinic on Jan. 31 from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. at the arena, 1176 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Curling is an Olympic sport similar to shuffleboard played on ice. It is fun for all ages and is played by those with a wide range of physical abilities. Instruction will include discussion on safety, equipment, preparation, technique and rules of the game.

The fee is $8 and space is limited. Spectators are welcome at no charge. For information visit the arena or call (530) 542-6262.
