Kirkwood Mountain Resort is debuting an all-new festival this weekend: Bikes & Brews. On Saturday, July 29, the village will host over 20 breweries and a variety of activities after a day filled with biking events.

“The inaugural Kirkwood Bikes & Brews event features fun for all ages with unlimited brew tasting, live music, kids activities and mountain bike events,” states a press release from Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

The day begins at 11 a.m. with mountain bike rides, kids-only races and more, before coming to a close with a three-hour beer festival that begins at 3 p.m.

Sample craft beverages from regional breweries such as Alibi Ale Works, Cold Water Brewery, FiftyFifty Brewing Co., South Lake Brewing Company and over 15 others while enjoying a raffle, barbecue, rock walls, face painting and additional fun.

Tickets start at $25 and include free transportation to and from Kirkwood, unlimited beer tasting (for guests over the age of 21), kid-friendly activities and live music. Activities-only entry is $20, and minors wishing to attend the festival but not participate in events get in for free.

A portion of all proceeds will go toward Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association, a nonprofit dedicated to the stewardship of sustainable trails and promotion of responsible trail use.
