It’s a Cozmic experience for the guys from Izabella

Izabella is bringing the jams off the hill.
Fresh off its High Sierra Music Festival debut, the Sacramento-East Bay band plays at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at Placerville’s Cozmic Cafe. The cover charge is $12.
Izabella is a combination of a couple of bands. The six-piece group played 80 shows in 2007 and has already performed 80 times this year. It has released two albums.
“Each member feels more comfortable about the piece they bring to the puzzle,” said band publicist Jamie Moreland. “Being a part of a more group collaborative songwriting process has molded the group and has given them a more effective way of putting incredible music on the stage. Anytime you put great musicians together for a given time they are going to grow together, and this unit is having a great time building an exciting career.”
Although its music is rooted in R&B, Izabella has shared the stage with jam bands such as Blue Turtle Seduction, New Monsoon, Tea Leaf Green and Hot Buttered Rum.
Izabella has played several shows at Tahoe Underground and the Divided Sky.
