Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Pierce

At her request, no services are planned for Jacqueline Joyce “Jackie” Pierce, who died Feb. 20, 2006, at her home in South Lake Tahoe.

Jackie was born Feb. 17, 1936, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Donald Walter and Violet Logan Pierce. In her youth she was a model and worked for the Los Angeles Times in the 1950s. She had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe since the 1970s, where she owned Pioneer Acres and boarded horses. She also did clerical work and bookkeeping throughout her life. Jackie volunteered with the American Legion and South Lake Tahoe Humane Society. She was a very creative person and enjoyed making crafts.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Candy Watson of Castaic, Calif.; daughter, Jennine Alford of Folsom, Calif.; grandchildren, Amber, Jennine, Missy and Amanda; her dog, Cher, and cat, Spooky.

At her request there will be no services and she will be buried at Inglewood, Calif.
