James Vincent Naccarata

Our loving father and grandfather, James Vincent Naccarata, age 91, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Carson City, Nevada.

Jim was born on February 17, 1920 in Manhattan, New York, to Elsie Mauro Naccarato and Antonio Naccarato. Jim was raised in the Bronx, NY. He raised his family in Redwood City, CA and later moved to South Lake Tahoe, CA where he has lived full time for the past 21 years. Jim served in WWII from 1942-1946 and in the Korean war as a photographer. He later worked as a pressman in California until retiring.

Jim is survived by his sisters, Rosemarie (Jimmy) Panigrosso and Theresa (Lou) Scarano, his sons, James V. Naccarato Jr. (Kim Heath), Anthony L. Naccarato (Audra Stevenett) and his grandchildren, Rook, Derek, Nick (Melissa Frometa), Cody, Chase, Shelby, Cassara, Paige, and Hailey, and by his loving companion, Barbara Griffith. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Orsak Elsie (Mauro) Naccarato and his father, Antonio Naccarato, his brothers Sonny, Buddy, Tommy, and his brother-in-law, Jimmy, his sister Laura and his ex-wife Viola R. Naccarata (Campuli).

Services will be held Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9:00 am at St. Theresa’s Church in South Lake Tahoe, CA. There will be a private burial in San Mateo, CA
