Jazz brunch benefits grad night

Provided to the Tahoe Daily Tribune. Cece Bachelder, South Tahoe High School Sober Grad Night chair, second from left, and Lynn Corey, discuss arrangements for the Java and Jazz fundraiser with Rocky Sleight, left, and Trey Stone, right.

The Sober Grad Night Task Force has been providing an all-night sober graduation celebration for high school graduates for the last 17 years. The event features a variety of entertainment, food and games along with cash prizes. Most importantly, it provides the young adults a drug- and alcohol-free environment in which to celebrate on their last night together as a class.

Planning for this event is being kicked off with Java and Jazz, a unique fundraiser featuring brunch and live music with Rocky Sleight and Trey Stone, Jan. 28, at the Lake Golf Course. Tickets are $50 per person. Reservations must be made in advance by contacting Cece Bachelder at (530) 577-4665 or Lynn Corey at (530) 542-2618 to make arrangements. Everyone is encouraged to attend this fun (and tax- deductible) event to benefit a great cause.
