Jazz singer-piano player Diana Krall opens Tahoe Summer Outdoor Series

Don’t crawl, run to the box office. Diana Krall tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8.

The jazz singer-pianist will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 18, in the opening show of the Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series at the Harveys Outdoor Arena.

Krall has sold more than 6 million records, the most of any female jazz artists since 1990. A winner of three Grammy awards, the Canada native has received eight Juno Awards.

The wife of Elvis Costello also performed at Harveys in 2007.

Tickets are $59.50, $99 and $125, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster outlets, http://www.ticketmaster.com or http://www.apeconcerts.com.

Other outdoor shows scheduled are Lady Antebellum on July 29 and Miranda Lambert on Aug. 19. John Packer, the director of entertainment for Harveys and Harrah’s Lake Tahoe, expects about 10 concerts this summer, two of which will be announced soon.
