Jean F. Rominger

Jean F. Rominger died July 10, 2005, at Amador Residential in Jackson, Calif., at the age of 92.

She was born Sept. 16, 1912, to Clyde and Bess Hunt in Tilden, Neb. She grew up in Meadow Grove, Neb., and moved to southern California in the 1930s. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, her home in Tahoe, walking and old movies.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and David Barnett of South Lake Tahoe; son, Raymond Rominger of South Lake Tahoe; and grandchildren, Jason Barnett and wife, Robyn of San Francisco, Calif., Debra Rominger of Thousand Oaks, Calif., David Rominger and wife, Lisa of Simi Valley, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold McCabe Rominger in 1957; son, Douglas Rominger in 2001; and brothers, Quentin Hunt and Deward Hunt.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. July 18 at Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe. Interment will follow the service.
