Jeep giveaway time at South Lake Rotary

Tickets are available for purchase for the South Lake Tahoe Rotary Club Great Car Raffle. The 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD 4X4 will be given away in a drawing at the service club’s April 9 meeting at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.

Tickets at $50 each are available at Al’s Chevron, Dick Horn State Farm and Shehadi Motors and by calling Bob Taylor at (530) 541-8858. They may also be ordered by mail by sending, name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, credit card number and expiration date (Visa and MasterCard only) to South Lake Tahoe Rotary, ATT. Car Raffle, P.O. Box 19517, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96151. Forms may be downloaded from the Web site at Completed numbered ticket stubs will be entered in purchaser’s name and the receipt portion will be returned with ticket numbers.

A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be sold and 25 lucky tickets will be drawn on April 2 at the Rotary Club meeting. The finalists will be invited to the dinner meeting on April 9, at which time 25 keys will be drawn and the winner’s key will open the Jeep. The other 24 finalists will receive a consolation prize. The winner can choose a one-time cash settlement of $25,000 in lieu of the vehicle. All participants must be 18 years of age with a valid drivers license. It is not necessary for finalists to attend the dinner to win. A proxy may be sent or one will be appointed.

All proceeds will help fund the South Lake Tahoe Rotary scholarship program and Rotary community projects.
