Jesse Macias Lopez

Memorial services will take place Feb. 18 in West Sacramento for Jesse Macias Lopez, who passed away Feb. 6, 2006, at his home in South Lake Tahoe. He was 76.

Jesse was born Sept. 30, 1929, in Tempe, Ariz., and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe since 1989. He retired from working in international banking with Bank of America in San Francisco in 1988. He enjoyed gaming, reading, working crossword puzzles and taking walks. He was a true “gentle” man. He didn’t just pass, he earned at A+.

He is survived his partner of 34 years, Ed Coiner of South Lake Tahoe; sister, Carmen Guebarra of Sacramento; brother, Peter Lopez of Sacramento; and several nieces and nephews.

Donations in Jesse’s memory may be made to Hospice of the Lake, 2092 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 or South Lake Tahoe Cancer League.
