Jr. Giants taking sign-ups

Youths ages 6 to 14 are invited to join the Jr. Giants program at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe Jr. Giants is for boys and girls of all levels to learn and practice baseball skills.

The program kicks off its third season July 1 and will run for seven weeks. Participants will choose to play from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday or Thursday. It is not necessary to be a member of the Boys and Girls Club to participate. The program is in affiliation with the San Francisco Giants and equipment is provided. All participants will receive a free Jr. Giants T-shirt, cap, and a chance to win a free trip to a San Francisco Giants game.

Anyone interested in volunteering to assist the Boys and Girls Club staff coaching the teams are invited to call. For more information on how to sign up for the Jr. Giants, volunteer as a coach, or find out about the Boys and Girls Club call the club at (530) 542-0838.
