Judge rules in favor of Kindertown

El Dorado County Superior Court Judge Steven Bailey ruled in favor of Kindertown owner Maria Barrows-Crist in a decision issued Thursday.

Barrows-Crist had been involved in a battle with California’s Department of Social Services to keep her license to operate the preschool and infant center since an August 2009 decision by a Sacramento Administrative Law judge. The decision found that a variety of complaints against the preschool justified revocation of Barrows-Crist’s license to operate.

Bailey’s decision will allow the preschool and infant center to remain open.
