Eighth and ninth graders from the National Junior Honor Society at Whittell High School recently traveled to visit several colleges Feb. 26-27, including Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley (pictured), the University of California, Davis, and St. Mary’s College of California. Participating students had to be a member in good standing with the honor society, participate in fundraisers to offset the travel costs and complete a minimum of 10 hours to attend. Twenty students along with chaperones were on the trip.
