Juvenile booked on number of charges

Police said a 14-year-old girl was raped in her own home early Tuesday morning.

Investigators booked a 15-year-old boy found at the house for the alleged rape as well as burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and terrorist threats.

Residents of the Patricia house (investigators would not specify if they crime occurred on Patricia Lane or Patricia Circle) reported the incident to police at 3:35 a.m.

An investigator reported the boy, who knew the 14-year-old prior to the reported assault, broke into the home and raped the girl by force.

By 4:30 a.m. the boy and girl were being examined at Barton Memorial Hospital. Police said the girl was injured during the alleged sexual assault but was treated and released from the hospital.

The boy was transported to El Dorado County Juvenile Hall in Placerville.
