Kahle offers preschool

Kahle Community Center is offering a part-time developmental preschool program Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.

School will begin Sept. 12 at Kahle’s Roots & Wings Children’s Center.

“We endeavor to create an environment in which young children respect themselves and others, while inviting them to think, create, discover and wonder,” Roots & Wings Director Shelly Martinez said in a letter to parents. “Our goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning.”

Tuition is $12 per day payable in monthly increments on the 25th of each preceding month.

Roots & Wings Children’s Center packets may be picked up at Kahle Community Center. Parents may secure a spot for their child by paying a $25 non-refundable registration fee.

Welcome Day is scheduled for Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon or 5 to 7 p.m. Parents and children will have an opportunity to meet teachers and tour the facility.

Roots & Wings focus centers on art, math, science, language, sensory and cognitive development, practical life, dramatic play, music and fine and large muscle development.

Kahle administrators also are considering offering a Lunch Bunch program Wednesdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. Cost likely would be around $5. Children would bring sack lunches to be eaten at school or in the park and then have a supervised free play session. Parents who are interested in this program should notify Martinez during registration.
