Kayaking roll classes coming

Looking for something to do and keep your kayaking skills fresh. Kayak roll sessions are being offered on the following Tuesdays January through June — Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4 and 18, April 1 and 15, May 6 and June 3. Sessions are scheduled from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Swim Pool Complex, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Participants will stay warm and enjoy the 80-degree water while they improve their rolling and paddling. The cost is $5 per boater per date and participants need their own kayak. There is a lifeguard on deck during these practice sessions. Advance registration is required by 7 p.m. each Tuesday.

Spring class dates for the Introduction to Kayak Rolling with Bob are set for 7 to 9:30 p.m. March 18, April 1 and 15 and May 6. Each class costs $20 per date. Kayak rentals are available in advance with registration and availability. Price TBA. These nights fill up fast, so don’t wait to sign up.
