Keith Urban to play the Harveys Lake Tahoe Summer Concert Series
January 14, 2016
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — Country star Keith Urban's Ripcord Tour will make a stop at Lake Tahoe's South Shore this summer.
Urban will play 45 amphitheaters and arenas as part of the tour, which was announced this week. The tour starts in June and includes a Friday, July 29, stop at the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys.
The four-time Grammy Award winner is working on his "Ripchord" album ahead of the tour. Urban released a song from the album, "John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16," in June.
"'John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,' his 19th #1 song, is the first song from what will be his eighth studio album entitled Ripcord," according to Urban's press materials. "It not only set an historic country radio mark for the highest one-week spin count and point total on Country Aircheck/Mediabase, it extended Urban's lead as the artist with the most consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard's Country Airplay Chart, a streak that started in August of 2000. His latest, 'Break On Me' debuted this past October and was the #1 most added single at country radio."
Urban has also won 11 Academy of Country Music Awards and has had five consecutive platinum or multiplatinum albums.
Tickets are listed as costing between $63.24 and $114.20 on a Ticketmaster page for the Tahoe show. On-sale dates and times are not yet listed.
