A celebration of life will take place Oct. 5 for Kent “Y T” Ehman, who died unexpectedly in his sleep Sept. 28, 2007.

Kent was born July 14, 1958, to Arthur and Grace Ehman in Harvey, N.D. He moved to Lodi, Calif., at the age of 4 and graduated from Lodi High School in 1977. He was an avid skier and moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1980, where he spent most of his time skiing at Heavenly and Kirkwood.

Kent was a PSIA Level III ski instructor and was once named as one of the top 10 ski instructors in North American by Skiing Magazine. Kent had worked at Lake Tahoe Golf Course for the past 22 years during the summer season. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and his loyal dog, Bob.

He is survived by his son, Jake; brothers, Rod and Kevin Ehman; nephews, Dave and Jeff; nieces, Stefani and Julian; and his dog, Bob.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Kent’s life at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.
