A Detroit, Michigan, native will bring the songs of blues great Eric Clapton to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe this Saturday, Dec. 26.

Kevin Russell’s Cream of Clapton plays tribute to the British guitarist’s deep catalog.

“A celebration of Eric Clapton’s songbook, Kevin Russell, guitarist extraordinaire and vocalist pays homage to Clapton’s greatest song book,” according to Russell’s online biography. “From Cream to the hits to the blues, Kevin is spellbinding as he brings to life these wonderful songs. Born and raised in the Motor City, Kevin’s has a very unique blend of blues, rock and soul. Kevin says: ‘It’s a Motor City thing!’ He is a very soulful guitar player as well as singer/songwriter and record producer. Kevin first rose to prominence with his classic rock band 707. Scoring a couple of rock radio classics hits and toured playing arenas throughout the 80’s. Kevin has also played with a who’s who list of recording and touring artists throughout his career.”

Tickets are $10 at the Hotel Rock Store or free with the casino’s Backstage Pass program. Doors open at 9 p.m., with the show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
