SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Join in the Kid Zone fun this year at the South Lake Tahoe Earth Day, at the Bijou Community Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 16, sponsored by Aramark.

Recycled-themed activities, face painting, story time, and a bouncy house are sure to entertain both children and their parents. Don’t miss the Kids’ Eco-Costume Parade, starting at 12:30 p.m. at the main stage. A children’s season pass to Kirkwood will be awarded to the child in the best costume.

Earth Day recognizes, celebrates, and promotes our region’s unique beauty while educating the public about local environmental issues.

Everyone is invited to learn about ways to counteract global climate change through recycling and composting, alternative energy, water conservation, sustainability, and reducing our ecological footprint. Enjoy local live music and dance, swing through the Kid Zone, and be sure to support the wide array of educational booths and local vendors. Food and local crafts will be available for purchase, and don’t forget to buy some raffle tickets for the Earth Day raffle. For more information, visit www.
