Several local dentists and their dedicated staff have banded together to make this February dentally memorable for school-age children. Local preschools have welcomed the dentists into their classrooms to talk about healthy foods, oral hygiene and the importance of dental visits.

Dr. Katherine Jones and Dr. Jeanne Kaufmann have visited with the children from Kahle Community Center. Stacy from Dr. Betsy Swope’s office had a great morning with the children from the Montessori School. During the South Tahoe High School Health Fair for senior students, Summer from Jones’ office offered orthodontic information, Dr. Fritz Wenck was on hand to give sound dental advice and Dr. Jon Hellman gave an exciting oral cancer presentation. Kaufmann had some valuable information about pregnancy and oral health and Jones had a convincing anti-smoking presentation.

Kaufmann visited the Child Development Center and Lake Tahoe Community College preschools this week with an educational presentation. Dr. Richard Hall and Maggie took care of the Child Development Center near Bijou. Look for Drs. Nicole Jane, Jerrard Trombka, LeAnne Stigers, Deanna Brothers, Fritz Wenck and Katherine Jones at a school near you.
