Kirkwood to stay open through May 6

Staff Report

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Kirkwood Mountain Resort will remain open through at least May 6, according to a Monday statement from the resort. The resort has not made a determination for beyond this weekend.

Kirkwood will operate limited intermediate and advanced terrain only. Chairs 6, Chair 10, Chair 11 will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“There is still enough snow at Kirkwood to allow us to stay open an additional weekend for our valued guests,” said Casey Blann, Kirkwood general manager, in the statement. “You can’t beat the gorgeous weather we have had in Tahoe the last two weekends, and the spring skiing for next weekend looks to be just as good, or even better.”
