Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe provides donation toward new Recreation and Aquatics Center in honor of long-time Kiwanis member 

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -The City of South Lake Tahoe along with the South Tahoe Parks Foundation announced a generous donation from the Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe. This donation not only benefits the community but will also have a meaningful impact at the new Recreation and Aquatics Center.  

The Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe has committed a total of $50,000 toward the sponsorship of two gymnasium scoreboards for the Recreation and Aquatics Center. The scoreboards will honor the legacy of long-time Kiwanis member, Bob Baunhauser, with one featuring “In Memory of Bob Baunhauser” and the other displaying “Kiwanis of Lake Tahoe”.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Lake Tahoe for their support of our new Recreation and Aquatics Center,” said John Stark, Director of Parks and Recreation. “This donation not only honors the memory of a valued community member but also reflects the commitment of the Kiwanis Club to improve the lives of our youth and all members in our community.” 



The City and the South Tahoe Parks Foundation invite individuals, families, and organizations to contribute to the new Recreation and Aquatics Center through donations, sponsorships, and naming opportunities. All funds will support critical facility needs, including equipment, furnishings, and scholarship access, helping to ensure the Recreation Center serves the entire community.
