Klover awarded Air Force ROTC scholarship

Submitted to the Tribune

Travis D. Klover has received an Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps scholarship. Klover is the son of Kathrine and Mark Klover of South Lake Tahoe. He is a 2014 graduate of South Tahoe High School.

Scholarships are awarded on a merit system in areas such as academic achievement, extracurricular activities, physical fitness, specific performance or accomplishment, leadership abilities, and personal interviews.

Upon graduation from the host college and completion of the ROTC program, the student cadet receives a bachelor’s degree and a commission of second lieutenant in the Air Force. All scholarship students incur a military service obligation of eight years, which may be fulfilled by either serving on active duty or in the Reserve Components of the Air Force.
