Kudo: Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe salutes Sample the Sierra event
This year’s Sample the Sierra event held at Bijou Community Park under the auspices of the Tahoe Chamber was a successful event. There were over 1,500 people who attended. There were local and regional wine purveyors and local restaurants that participated in the sampling and the festivities of the day. There was good weather and a good spirit for all those who attended.
The Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe was responsible for all sales of wine for those wineries participating in the day’s festivities.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors and membership of the South Lake Tahoe Rotary Club, I wanted to thank the Tahoe Chamber Board, B. Gorman, CEO, and Emily Abernathy, the event coordinator, for the fine job they did in organizing this event,” said David Jinkens, South Lake Tahoe Rotary Club’s president. “It was successful and a way for all of us to work together for a common purpose for the benefit of our community. We appreciated being a part of the event and the contribution made by local restaurant owners and vendors to make it a success. Thanks as well to all South Lake Tahoe Rotarians and friends of Rotary who participated in the event and worked the wine sales booth.”
The Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe meets weekly generally at Harrah’s at noon and has interesting programs and activities. Guests and members of the community are invited to attend. To learn more visit http://www.sltrotary.org.
