Kudos and Kindess: Caps for Kids a success

Provided to the TribuneKnitted caps are displayed Knitted caps are displayed at the South Lake Tahoe Branch of the El Dorado County Library after volunteers knitted the items for the Caps for Kids program.

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library wishes to thank all of the community members who donated time, yarn and crafting skills to the creation of 209 items for the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center’s Caps for Kids program. The library collected 178 hats, 18 scarves, seven pairs of mittens, four headbands, one pair of knitted slippers and one set of arm warmers. Your projects will keep the children of our community warm this winter. Thanks to the Recreation Center for your annual efforts in coordinating this program, and Christmas Cheer for meeting our community’s needs. We at the library look forward to next year’s caps drive, and will keep knitting and crocheting the first Saturday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Library meeting room. Please join us.
