To all the Sierra Nevada families:

I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and let you know that your packages meant great things for us. Christmas and New Year were a great time for us and a relief as they both came after our halfway mark. There are many families that helped out and we thank all of you.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the people that I do know though. Mr. and Mrs. Bolander, thank you for taking your free time to help collect all the goodies you helped send us. Mrs. Smith, thank you also for your help into putting a wonderful Christmas together for us. Mr. McElfish aka Uncle Mike, thank you for helping to bring all these people together and coordinating getting all the boxes to us in one piece and time, even though my mail guys hated me because I was getting anywhere from six to 12 boxes a day and they had to help me carry them. But all the boxes made it here before Christmas. Again, thanks from the bottom of Distro Platoon’s heart 3/61 CAV.

Also because of the Sierra Nevada family and your guys support is one of the main reasons why I continue to serve in the military. Again thank you all so much.
