Kudos and Kindness: Hike for Health supports trail system project

On behalf of the Carson Valley Trails Association (CVTA), I thank the many businesses and individuals who supported our recent 4th Annual Hike for Health fundraiser. The April 22 auction at the Genoa Town Hall and the month-long Trails Challenge from April 22 through May 23 brought in over $26,800 to support the construction of the 22-mile Genoa Foothill Trail System project. Funded by a Nevada Division of State Lands Question 1 grant, this project will provide a wonderful new trail system that will connect the Carson Valley to the Tahoe Rim Trail.

For more information about the Genoa Foothill Trail System, as well as a complete list of the 2010 Hike for Health donors and the individuals who participated in the Trails Challenge, I invite you to visit the CVTA website: http://www.carsonvalleytrails.org.
