Kudos and Kindness: Thank you for annual memorial for son

On behalf of my family I would like to thank John Rice, Mindi Befu, Jim Cahill, Mike Shreve, Dawn Shreve, Cyndee Gatien, Matt Ring and all of the Sierra-At-Tahoe staff and all of our friends for Timmy’s “Celebration Of Life,” which was held on Sat. April 10t, 2010, where we all gathered once again by his plaque, with the American flag and a poster size picture of him on Castle/Eastbout run, which was one of the favorite spots they would snowboard and ski and catch up with each other.

With the help of Jim and Cindy and Matt through Sierra-At-Tahoe this “Celebration of Life” for Sgt. Timothy M. Smith will occur every year. I would like to thank Mike and Dawn Shreve for the beautiful, caring and loving words they spoke. I thank John Rice and Mindi Befu for allowing us to have this in one of Timmy’s favorite place’s he loved so much.

I am very grateful to have such caring and loving people and to know that people support our troops and realize how much they have given yet “some gave all.” I am very proud of my son. He did what he wanted to do and was proud to be an American and fight for his country. Timmy was killed April 7, 2008 when a IED stuck his husky vehicle.

Timmy we miss you and love you and you will never be forgotten and you are always in our hearts.
