Kudos and Kindness: Thank you for Christmas presents for mental health clients
The staff at El Dorado County Mental Health Clinic is extremely grateful for the generosity of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the local agencies who contributed time and money so our clients would receive some Christmas presents. Most of our clients live on fixed incomes, and many have little contact with their families. To have some of their modest Christmas wishes come true is a surprise and delight both to them and to our staff, who have the pleasure of delivering the presents.
Mental illness often carries an unfortunate stigma. When our clients realize that people in the community care enough about them to solicit their wishes and buy and wrap presents especially for them, it lightens the burden of their daily troubles.
Thank you again.
