Kudos and Kindness: Thank you for returning heirloom to grieving family

On May 28, Joseph Belluomini passed away at his home in Meyers. A beloved husband, father, brother-in-law and friend, we have all suffered a tremendous loss. A couple of days later, Mrs. Belluomini realized with horror that his ring, given to him by his father, was missing. Frantically, we looked everywhere. It wasn’t to be found.

Returning home to Petaluma, Mrs. Belluomini remembered having gone to the Beacon at Camp Richarson for a much-needed reprieve. A friend stopped by to check, and the ring was there in the restaurant’s safe.

We would like to thank the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department, the paramedics and the staff at Barton Hospital for their diligent and compassionate efforts. We would also like to extend our deepest appreciation to the honest and hard working staff at the Beacon for finding and saving a cherished family heirloom.
