Kudos: Cancer League hosting annual See’s candy sales

A big “thank you” to all who have supported the South Lake Tahoe Cancer League’s annual See’s Candy sale. Your holiday candy purchases enable us to offer service to your friends and neighbors in our community facing the challenge of cancer treatment. November was a typical month for expenditures.

We provided over $1,300 in financial aid grants to patients and paid over $3,400 in travel reimbursements to our volunteer drivers who transport patients to their doctors and treatment centers for care.

The candy sale provides the majority of our funds. It is certainly true that we couldn’t do it without you. Our See’s candy store will remain open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily until Christmas Eve.
