Kudos- Grapes and Gates was great

To the editor:

Heavenly Ski Foundation, in conjunction with event sponsors The Cork & More and Edgewood Golf Club, sponsored their first Grapes & Gates fund-raiser May 2 at Edgewood Tahoe. The event was a great success with everyone having a wonderful evening enjoying wine, tequila and gourmet food tasting. Profits from this event will help establish an educational scholarship fund to assist young athletes and their families offset the cost of training equipment, race fees, travel and college tuitions.

The Heavenly Ski Foundation would like to acknowledge and thank the following individuals and local businesses for their eir generosity and support in making this inaugural fund-raiser a huge success: Jim Warlow and The Cork & More, Bobby King and Edgewood Tahoe Golf, Southern Wine & Spirits, Caymus Vineyards, Steele Winery, Silverado Vineyards, Karly Vineyards, Davis Bynum Winery, Grgich Hills Cellar, Pine Ridge Winery, Evan’s American Gourmet Cafe, Nephele’s Restaurant, Cafe Fiore, Alpen Sierra Coffee Company.

Special thanks to our guest speaker Jonna Mendes and everyone who attended the evening in support of the Heavenly Ski Foundation’s young athletes and future Olympians.
