Kudos & Kindness

On behalf of the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, I would like to thank all those people who made our Oct. 29 Harvest Festival so successful.

Thanks to the Friends of the Library for sponsoring the event, providing refreshments for the children and parents, prizes for the games, and treats for the library parade.

From the beginning to the end of the party, Gina Caldron Stowell provided non-stop face painting for dozens of delighted children.

Special thanks go to Doug Madden for his hard work and to Lew Johnston for presenting the crowd-pleasing Classic Cartoons. Thanks to all of you for the support and hard work.

Kids love new play equipment

On behalf of the staff and children of Hope Lutheran Preschool, I would like to thank the following for their donation of time or materials in the building of our new playground equipment: Rex Thran Construction, Mike Njoten and Alpine Construction, The Men’s Group of Hope Lutheran Church parent helpers and Meeks Lumber.

The equipment is wonderful and the children can’t get enough of it. Thank you for making our play environment safe.

I would also like to thank Paul Friederici of Alpine Carpets for his donation of area rugs for our classrooms and to Kerwin Wolfgram and KLW International for the donation of a new vacuum cleaner. Thanks everyone.
