Kudos & Kindness

We wish to extend our personal thanks to the fine veterinarians and staff at Alpine Animal Hospital in South Lake Tahoe for their tender, loving care during the treatment of our beloved cat, Sarge.

They not only worked tirelessly in an effort to keep him from succumbing to his recent fatal illness, but they also provided much needed comfort and support after he passed on. Sarge was a 14-year-old Himalayan and a regular border at Alpine. They made us feel that he was as much a member of their family as ours.

Again, our heartfelt thanks to one of the most caring groups of people in our area.

Donations are appreciated

The education subcommittee of the Latino Affairs Commission would like to sincerely thank both Tahoe Magic and Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra for their generous donations to our Parent School Partnership Program. In March our committee will offer our first six-week parent program aimed at helping Latino parents become involved in their children’s education and to become leaders in the community.

Because of generous donations such as these our committee was able to receive training from a national organization and will be able to offer child care and a simple meal at the sessions to encourage parent participation. Thank you for caring.
