Kudos & kindness

Wow! We are overwhelmed. The outpouring of support for our family from the people of this community over the loss of our beloved Amy has been incredible and heartening.

Amy was known and loved by many in our community, and many more know one or all of the remaining members of our family. We are hurting indescribably but we also understand that Amy was a member of the community family, and the loss of one of it’s own children is felt by many people.

Thank you to all who have come by our home to give us hugs and cry with us. Thank you to all who have sent cards and condolences. Thank you to those who have also lost children, for your empathy.

Thank you to all who have made contributions to Sierra Recovery Center in Amy’s name.

After her DUI, Amy was very proud to be one of Sierra Recovery’s success stories. Thank you to all who attended the celebration of Amy’s life on Sept. 16. Your attendance meant a great deal to us.

Special thanks go to those who jumped right in to help make the celebration so wonderful. Pat and Dennis Crabb for their organization of the celebration as well as their friendship and support; Pat and Dennis just stepped in and did it.

Kathy Farrell and the Tallac Association for not hesitating to provide the venue. It was perfect for Amy. Les Lovell and the sheriff’s department for helping people get there. And to Les for letting us in. And to Ken and Kathy Daley and ATM for providing shuttle service.

All of Amy’s friends were with us all week and truly made the celebration a tribute to her.

Thank you everyone for your love and support. This is the most difficult of times for us, but the love from this community has helped us to take our next breath. This is a special place in so many ways. Thank you.
