Kudos & Kindness
People First of Lake Tahoe would to thank Steve Dunn, Tahoe Paradise Park manager, for being so generous to us when we had our annual picnic July 19 at the park.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and thought your park was beautiful.

Skilled nursing facility says ‘thank you’
There are so many unsung heroes in our area who rose to the occasion during the Angora fire to help their neighbors. I’d like to thank some of those unsung heroes now with our heart-felt appreciation for lending us a helping hand while we at Barton’s Skilled Nursing Facility were evacuating our residents.
Without the kind and generous support of the people who run these fine companies we would not have had the seamless evacuation that we did.
Many sincere thanks from everyone in the Barton HealthCare System to BlueGo for transportation; Carson Valley Residential Care Center for taking in our residents and staff for four days; Barton’s Home Health and Hospice department for their assistance; Carson Valley Medical Center and Lindsay for giving us supplies; Starbucks for providing coffee to our staff; South Lake Tahoe Police department who escorted us to Gardnerville; Lincare for oxygen; and Med Express for transportation.
I’d like to add a special thanks to Barton’s Skilled Nursing Facility staff and their families for all of their hard work and patience. Thank you all so much for all your help.
