Kudos & Kindness

Thank you to all who contributed to the success of the “Thank You, Firefighters Benefit Dance” Aug. 9 at the Horizon Resort Casino Sequoia Ballroom. More than $4,200 was donated to the South Lake Tahoe Fireman’s Association to honor their efforts saving lives and property during the Angora fire.

In addition to the 17-piece Tahoe Dance Band and Marcia Sarosik’s “Lake Tahoe Shining Stars,” others who volunteered were Judy and Paul Jensen, co-chairs of the silent auction, and committee members Pam Massman, Jonquil Peterson, Ken Sands and Don Welton. Ruth Smith, Phylluis Iannetta and Marilyn Beeler helped with admissions.

Individuals and businesses who contributed to the silent auction and other donations were: Ace Hardware, Allure Beauty Salon, Applebees, Bank of the West, Big O Tires, Body Essentials Spa, Cardinale Way Motors, Coldwell Banker McKinney & Associates Realtors, Ernies, Galeria Blu’u at Mont Bleu Resort & Casino, Hands On Organizers, High Sierra Hobbies in Minden, Horizon Casino Resort, John Cezar Soresca, Jonquil Peterson, Ken Sands, Kevin Cassidy, DDS, Les Schwab Tires, Meeks, Mont Bleu, Nepheles, Odd Pony in Woodfords, O’Neill Snowear of Santa Cruz, Placer Title, Push Athletic, Redwood Printing, Riva Grill, Sidestreet Boutique, Ski Run Boat, South Shore Motors, Sports LTD, Studio 6, Sunsational Tanning and Vern Lee.
