Kudos & Kindness

Recently, Support STAT (South Tahoe Athletic Teams) held its fourth annual fundraiser golf tournament and, once again, the event was a hit. STAT thanks the numerous sponsors, volunteers and participants who made the event a success.

First, thanks to Tahoe Paradise Golf Course and to Randy and Lyn who graciously hosted our tournament and, as usual, coordinated the event superbly. Next, to Lira’s Market that generously donated all the barbecue chicken and beverages for our lunch. Thanks Jim: Everyone enjoyed a wonderful feast. Thanks also to Starbucks for providing the hot morning coffee and to Raley’s for the yummy donuts. To all of our raffle donors: Sierra-at-Tahoe, Edgewood-Tahoe, Red Wolf Lodges, Olympic Village Inn and Ski Run Boat Rentals, a huge thank you.

And thanks to all our hole sponsors: Ed Cook Tree Service, Novasel & Schwarte Investments, Genasci & Stigers Family Dentists, South Tahoe Association of Realtors, Alpine Family Practice, STHS-ASB, STMS-ASB, South Tahoe Refuse, Dalton Construction, Benefit Resource Group, Meek’s Lumber, Chris Cerceo, DDS, The Paint Store, Clark Plumbing, Warren’s Woodworks, Gardner Enterprises, Alpine Carpet, Grant Wolf & Associates and Herf Jones.

Finally, to all our volunteers: Patty Haar, Marsha Butler and the STHS Girls Golf team who handled all hole contests; David Jones and the STHS Culinary Arts program that cooked up all the delicious grub; Sherri Schimmel, Cece Bachelder, Sherri Acri and Vikki Grant for running the registration, raffle, mulligans and score keeping; Vikki Grant for diligently calling and signing up all of the players; Cece Bachelder and Jack Stafford for helping with everything we asked of him (which was a bunch.) Thank you to you all. You were collectively magnificent.
