Kudos & Kindness

On behalf of the local community, thank you to Pine Cone Acre Motel, South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce, firefighters and 30 local businesses for all the time and effort everyone put into making the Treat Street event on Halloween eve a huge success.

A safe environment was combined with a lot of fun, photos and goodies for locals, tourists and kids. It seems hundreds attended. Everyone should have seen “Howie” in pink sequins as the mum (John Travolta in drag) from “Hairspray.”

Kudos to Danny Freeman and staff, who run the Pine Cone Acre Motel at 735 Emerald Bay Road. He made his premises available for the community and also provided hot chocolate and s’mores. Hats off to you all.

Thank you to all my friends, neighbors and customers at Longs Drugs for the past 13 years for being faithful and just being you. I love all of you and thank you.

We, as a community, have seen many changes in this town, but together we always will have compassion.

I no longer will have the privilege, joy and pleasure to be there for you and help you if I can. I have a long list of friends, neighbors and out-of-town folks that I would like to thank. I will remember all of you in my heart and think of you often with warmth and care.

Thank you to the entire staff at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center. My two youngest children just finished Level 1 swim lessons at your facility and are going to Level 2 next week.

Not only was our swim instructor fabulous with our children, but the entire staff was friendly and helpful as well. I am thankful that the city has the swim complex and offers all levels of swim lessons.
