Kudos & Kindness

South Tahoe Babe Ruth Baseball extends thanks to all who took part in our Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament.

A big “high-five” to MontBleu for hosting the event. What a great fundraiser it was.

The dealers were expert yet friendly; the cocktail servers were speedy and easy on the eye; and the drinks were delicious – generous pours, too.

Special thanks to poker room managers Ken and Adam, who ran things quickly and smoothly.

A class operation all the way. Thanks, MontBleu, you’re the nuts.

We also want to thank Line Drive U and the Detroit Tigers for supplying some of the prizes for our poker night.

We can’t wait for the next one.

Our next fundraiser will be April 1 at Tep’s Villa Roma – the Beautiful, Bountiful Italian Feast. Tickets are $15, and only a few are left.

Thank you to Dr. Jeanie Kaufman and her assistant, Alex, for visiting the Lake Tahoe Child Development Center and teaching our preschoolers the proper way to brush their teeth.

On Feb. 25, Dr. Kaufman and Alex came to our center to give our children a free oral-health screening. The children watched a cartoon video about cavities, brushing and flossing.

Dr. Kaufman examined each child and wrote an evaluation for their parents. Alex showed the children the proper way to brush their teeth. Each child received a new toothbrush and a sugar-free lollipop.

Parents at the center really appreciate the community work Dr. Kaufman and Alex do.
