Kudos & Kindness

A couple of weeks ago, I accidentally left my purse in the market basket in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet.

I learned that a gentleman, a frequent customer at Grocery Outlet, had discovered my purse and turned it in for me. Grocery Outlet found my home phone number, and by the time I had returned home, there was a message letting me know that my purse was being kept in a safe at the store.

The contents were undisturbed except for a search for my identity. Incidentally, I had more than $100 cash in my purse.

In a world where we can barely turn on the television without seeing “horrors,” it was beautiful to experience the kindness and honesty of this unknown gentleman.

Sir, I hope you are reading this and I thank you most sincerely for your kindness. And Grocery Outlet, thank you, too.
