Kudos & Kindness

I just wanted to let the Kiwanis Club of South Lake Tahoe and all the volunteers know how wonderful they are. They put on the best pancake breakfast for the South Tahoe Little League on May 3. The Little League association should be proud that we have a community that comes together and takes care of our kids. Great job!

Despite less-than-perfect weather, the 21st annual Booster Golf Tournament was successful. Thanks to the generosity of Park Cattle Co. and Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, the tournament once again raised more than $16,000 for Whittell and South Tahoe high schools.

Thanks to the numerous businesses who sponsored holes, donated prizes and provided food and drink for this great event. Special kudos to those who volunteered, especially the ones who were wet and cold on Sunday, and helped make the tournament a great success.
