B&B thanks Kirkwood
Taking the opportunity to help people struggling with hunger, Kirkwood Mountain Resort was the “Adopt A Day of Nourishment” sponsor for Bread & Broth’s dinner serving on Jan. 26.
The dinners, which are held every Monday evening at Saint Theresa Church Grace Hall offer full-course, nutritionally, well-balanced meals to all who attend. With the funding provided by the evening’s host, the creative B&B cooks are able to provide sufficient food to serve more than 100 guests, offer seconds servings and provide to-go containers.
Representing Kirkwood and donating their time at its sponsorship dinner were Jon Copeland, director of skier services; Ashley Sell, team lead, ski school; Anjie Goulding, sales manager and Becca Daiek, executive administrator. These four friendly Kirkwood team members jumped right in with the B&B volunteers to help make the evening a well-run and enjoyable experience for those attending the meal. Jon Copeland enjoyed being behind the line serving. “Everyone is so grateful,” he said.
Bread & Broth would like to thank Kirkwood Mountain Resort for its financial support through the Vail Epic Promise grant program and the incredible service their volunteer sponsorship crew provided throughout the evening. B&B is very grateful for the positive impact that our Adopt A Day sponsors have on the lives of those attending the Monday dinners.

Great Car Sweepstakes
The Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe will begin fundraising activities with the 2015 Great Car Sweepstakes this month. This popular event raises thousands of dollars annually for local scholarships, local charities and community projects. On April 29, 25 tickets will be publicly drawn and on May 6 contestants will compete for a new car or $25,000 in cash. We look forward to the tremendous support from our community and friends of Rotary who participate annually.
This annual fundraiser could not happen without the generous cooperation and support of Cardinale Motors in South Lake Tahoe providing access to the alternate prizes of either a Rav4 or Toyota Prius. The Tahoe Daily Tribune is working with us to have tickets printed and fliers mailed out. In addition, we have tremendous support from local businesses that provide valuable discounts at their business for ticket purchasers. This year our generous local coupon sponsors are: Edgewood Tahoe, Tahoe Keys Deli, Lake Tahoe Cruises, Nephele’s Restaurant, Bio Spirit Day Spa, Primo’s Italian Bistro, Lake Tahoe Golf Course, Samurai Restaurant, Passeretti’s Italian Restaurant, and Lakeside Inn Timbers and Latin Soul. Please patronize and support these local businesses that support our community.
2015 Great Car Raffle Tickets will be available beginning in early February from local Rotarians and friends of Rotary.
We thank the community in advance for their continued support and generosity.
