KUDOS & KINDNESS: Alternative education is appreciated
Thank you to the Horizon Charter School and teacher Vickie Clarke for having a quality, tuition-free education alternative for the youths of South Lake Tahoe.
We are thankful that in addition to the basics/core classes you also offer college prep (A-G) and AP classes. Physical education opportunities of snowboarding, dance, etc., coupled with the free access to planetariums, exhibits and other cultural events makes for a quality, well-rounded, interesting, and fun educational experience, which allows for differences in student learning styles, abilities, and interests. Thank you for your special individualized plans that fulfill the individual’s needs and educational goals and your years of dedication to this niche. I know the new students are happy to have made the March 1 enrollment cut-off. Our community is fortunate to have you. Keep up the compassionate and good work.
