Kudos & Kindness: Children’s book drive surpassed expectations

Group Four of the Leadership Lake Tahoe Program – David Landry of Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Peter Lavallee of South Tahoe Public Utility District, Nick Exline of Midkiff and Associates, Shelly Stalter of Barton Health and Darcie Carpenter of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics – would like to thank everyone who donated books to our March Children’s Book Drive. The team had a goal of 200 books. The event collected 1,245 books. Books were distributed to children in the South Lake Tahoe area over the month of April. We would also like to give a special thanks to the South Tahoe business that helped the event: Live Violence Free, El Dorado County Library, Choices for Children, El Dorado County Superior Court, Tahoe Turning Point, TRPA, Heavenly Mountain Resort HR Department, Round Hill General Improvement District, Kahle Community Center, Douglas County Library and Douglas County Administrative Offices, Barton Memorial Hospital, and Lake Tahoe Unified School District. Thanks for helping make our project a success!
