Kudos & Kindness: Donations boost art programs

On behalf of the South Tahoe High Performing Arts Booster Association, I would like to thank American Century Championship and Livestrong for their generous donation. The goal of our nonprofit organization is to support the art programs at South Tahoe High School. This year the funds helped to offset the costs of the fast-paced musical, “42nd Street,” which played for two weekends to sold-out audiences in the new Tahoe Arts & Design Academy Theatre. Support was also provided to the music department so our community could enjoy a free Veterans Day concert and students were able to compete and place in statewide competitions. The digital media arts program produced artwork that won the nationwide Congressional Art Competition for three consecutive years. The school art programs impact hundreds of students and provide entertainment for people from the entire region. Thank you for your support.
