Kudos & Kindness for Nov. 2
The Goal Club and South Tahoe High School girls soccer teams thank Bueno and Marty Ketelsen of Bert’s café for hosting our very successful spaghetti dinner night last week.
Special thanks to Margarito and Martin for their endless help in the kitchen. Thanks also to US Foods, Bonanza Produce, Crystal Dairy, The Sausage Factory and Bake Mark for donating the fabulous food.
Also, thank you to Darryl Schue of Accurate Audio/Video for donating the TV we raffled. Vince Smith was the lucky winner. It is because of people like you who support local youth that make this community such a special place to live.

Diabetes Expo 2007 was a huge success. This free community event brought awareness of the seriousness of diabetes, including early detection and treatment.
The event was possible only with the team effort of so many. Heartfelt thanks goes to Lake Tahoe Community College, Barton Hospital Auxiliary staff, the terrific PR/Foundation department at Barton, Dr. Patricia Ferraro, El Dorado County Public Health Department, Cyndie Gilliam and Pat Okacza of Barton University and the many others who contributed their time for this special event.
Until there’s a cure, there’s care.
