Kudos & Kindness: Free sports physicals reach more than 250 local students

On Wednesday, June 6, Barton Family Medicine and Tahoe Center for Orthopedics provided more than 250 free student sports physicals at South Tahoe High School for South Tahoe, Whittell and Pop Warner athletes playing fall, winter and spring sports. Douglas High School in Minden, Nev., also received free physicals this year. This was the first year South Tahoe High School hosted the sports physicals, as they were previously held at Barton Family Medicine.

It was a great team effort. I would like to personally thank all Barton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, physicians and staff for the time you gave to make this a huge success. And a big thanks to all Barton Health managers and directors that scheduled their staff so that they could take time to help out.

Chris Proctor, M.P.T.

Director of the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics
